Daniel’s Seventy Weeks Fulfilled In Yahshua Messiah

By Pastor Eli James

Introduction

Within Christianity, there are two main interpretations of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks prophecy. One is the Historical Interpretation, which states that all of the details of this prophecy were fulfilled by the First Advent of Yahshuah Messiah (Jesus Christ).

The other interpretation is the Futuristic Interpretation, which states that only some of the details were fulfilled by Messiah. One major exception involves the mysterious 3 and one half year period, which is claimed to occur AFTER Messiah is crucified. Since Messiah is crucified "in the midst of" the last (70th) week, there is a dispute as to when this 3&1/2 year period is actually fulfilled. The futurists claim that it does not occur until the End Times.

The Jews, in contradistinction to Christianity, totally disregard the Messianic significance of Daniel’s 70 Weeks, because they do not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah, even though He very obviously fulfilled all of these prophecies. Rather than face the fact that Yahshua personally fulfilled these prophecies, the rabbis of Judaism ignore this prophecy and pretend that it doesn’t exist.

The Jews have even tampered with the text, in order to make it appear that Daniel 9:27 is not talking about the Messiah. For example, in the Jewish Publication society version of the Tanakh, the phrase, "anoint the Most Holy" is changed to "anoint the Holy of Holies." The changes it to "holy place." This is a clear attempt to replace a personage with a place or space. The Judaica Press version has a similar translation, while the 1917 JPS version says, "anoint the most holy place." [The radically different language can be viewed at this site: http://www.truthnet.org/TheMessiah/10_Messiah_Objections_Daniels70weeks/ ]

But if a place is anointed, and not the Messiah, the prophecy becomes obscure; and the question is raised, "Why is a place anointed? What is the purpose?" No one knows!

With regard to all of Scriptural prophecy, I am a historicist. This means that all of the Bible’s prophecies fit historical facts. The only prophecies that don’t fit historical facts are those we do not understand or those which have yet to be fulfilled. In this essay, I will be taking the position that Daniels’ prophecy was completely fulfilled by Messiah’s First Advent.

Daniel, Chapter 9

Daniel, Chapter 9, begins with these words:

 1In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

2In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Daniel is here telling us that he now understands the meaning of Jeremiah’s prophecy regarding the 70 years of captivity that the House of Judah is to experience in Babylon.

3And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

 4And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

5We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

6Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

7O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

8O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

"Confusion of face" is a reference to the fact that some of these Israelites of the House of Judah have miscegenated with the people of Babylon. The Books of Ezra and Nehemiah confirm this understanding, as both of those priests, who returned from Babylon to Jerusalem at the end of the 70 years captivity in Babylon, expelled from the congregation those who had married non-Israelite wives and had borne mixed offspring. Daniel is lamenting the same fact.

 9To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

10Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

11Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

12And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

13As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

14Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

Of course, Yahweh does not do evil deeds or works. It appears as evil to those who are being punished. Daniel clearly understands this. It is retribution to Israel for their disobedience.

15And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

To the other nations surrounding Israel and Judah, it appears that Yahweh has failed them; but this is not true. Yahweh punishes His People for their disobedience. All of the prophets and priests know and understand this. There is no such thing as an unjust punishment from Yahweh. Only Israel has Yahweh. The surrounding nations know and understand this.

17Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

18O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

19O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

 20And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

Even though the KJV says "the man Gabriel," this is the archangel Gabriel, the messenger of Yahweh, who has been sent by Him to give Daniel the vision, which he is about to receive and record for posterity.

22And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

Daniel’s Vision as Given by the Angel, Gabriel

Here, the "70 Weeks" prophecy begins.

24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Since this is prophecy concerning the Messiah, these are specific accomplishments that will be major aspects of the Messiah’s mission. These have been enumerated in verse 24:

1.) To finish the transgression.

2.) To make an end of sins.

3.) To make reconciliation for iniquity.

4.) To bring in everlasting righteousness.

5.) To seal up the vision and the prophecy.

6.) To anoint the Most Holy.

We will see that all of these things were accomplished in the person of Jesus Christ, and that He, not a bunch of stones, was anointed the Most Holy.

To Finish the Transgression of Israel

Isaiah, Chapter 53, gives us the prevailing attitude of the Israelites of Judea during the life of Christ:

1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. [Some in Identity have complained that verse cannot be true, as Jesus is described elsewhere as being a particularly handsome blue-eyed blonde. But this verse comes on the heels of Isa. 52:14, which speaks of His marred visage (disfigured face), due the bloody beatings and crown of thorns. Also, not all manner of "seeing" are literal. This is more likely a reference to the fact that Israel would not see Him for what He really was: the Messiah! – Eli.]

3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

This marvelous prophecy deserves an essay on its own. There is no doubt that it speaks of Jesus, the Messiah. Verse 2 tells us that Jesus, as a child, was not recognized for what He was, even though He astonished the elders with His knowledge of the Scriptures…and about His bruised and bloodied face. Verse 3 talks about how He was abandoned at Calvary, even by the Apostles. Only His mother, Miriam, and a few of the women of Judah, stuck with Him until the bitter end. Peter had denied Him thrice; and none of the other Apostles were to be found at Calvary. Verse 5 says that He was (to be) wounded for our transgressions. Verse 8 says He was "cut off" for the transgression of His People. Verse 12 says He was numbered among the transgressors, the thieves who were crucified along with Him.

Just before He gave up the ghost, His last words were "It is finished." His First Advent completed the Old Covenant of the ritual laws of blood sacrifice. He was the Last Sacrifice under the Old Covenant.

To Make and End of Sins

Unfortunately for us, this was not accomplished at Calvary, as we Israelites are still sinners, even today; but it was a great start. Ultimately, we Israelites are to become a sinless people. The New Covenant, which was announced at the Last Supper, was prophesied by Jeremiah, in Chapter 31.

31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

35Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

36If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

37Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

Since the moon and stars still shine by night, we can rest assured that Yahweh intends to accomplish His Will for BOTH Houses of Israel and Judah. Both Judaism and Judeo-Christianity ignore this prophecy. The Jews teach that the House of Israel (the Ten Exiled Tribes) vanished and will never be heard from again. The Judaeo-Christians teach that, since Israel (by which they falsely assume the Jewish people!!!) rejected the Messiah, literal Israel has been replaced by THEIR Church, or by "spiritual Israel," by which they mean themselves!

Of course, these teachings are false. Yahweh never declared that He would reject all Israel. He only said that He would "divorce" Israel until the days when both Houses would be gathered back together!! We know that we Anglo-Saxons are of Both Houses. And, since we, True Israel, are alive and well, no "church" can claim OUR inheritance! We also know that the Jews are impostors, impersonators of Israel and Judah. Since they are, in fact, Edomites and Khazars, they NEVER had any claim to the Covenants promised to True Israel. They are the "beast that deceiveth the whole world" with their impersonation of Israel. (Rev. 12:9.)

The Judeo-Christians, ignoring these prophecies and totally fooled by the Jewish impersonation of Israel and Judah, have thus laid claim to the New Covenant, since it is obvious that the Jews failed to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. It is true that the Jews reject Jesus, even today; but it is false that the Jews are the children of Israel. At that time, 99.9% of the Israelites in the world were in the Dispersion; and they didn’t even know that their Messiah had come. That Good News was not spread until after His death.

Several Old Testament prophecies tell us that the Israelites would forget their Identity as Israel. (Isa. 29:10-12; 42:16,19,20; Hos. 2:1-8; Romans 11:7,8,25.) Yet, even while this state of amnesia had befallen our Israelite ancestors, they nevertheless accepted Yahshua as the Messiah. They did this instinctively, because they were True Israelites, even though they didn’t know it. Falsely believing the Jews to be Israelites, the Judeo-Christians go on to assert that the Jews will one day accept Jesus as the Messiah. But this will never happen, because the Jews are not His kinsmen. They are, in fact, the children of the devil (John 8:44), who will never repent of their repudiation of Him. This repudiation is called Judaism. Don’t hold your breath, waiting for the Devil to suddenly worship the One against whom he has rebelled. The Bible teaches that the rebellious ones will be destroyed by fire. It does not teach that they will have a change of heart and convert.

But the sins of True Israel will eventually be a thing of the past, once we come to the full realization of who we are and that our Destiny is to be the administrators of Yahweh’s everlasting Kingdom.

Messiah’s intercession at Calvary instituted a Grace Period of 2,000 years (the "two days" of Hosea 6:2, being a thousand years each (2Peter 3:8)), a Grace Period needed by us in order to absorb all of the wisdom, promises, Laws, Faith, and Covenants, which we agreed to at Mt. Sinai – to lock them into our hearts. Once this step is accomplished in Israel, then our sinful ways will be over. The Judgment Day occurs after these two "days," when we will all have to pay for our sins. Some will have to pay by going into spiritual oblivion, the "second death."

3.) To Make Reconciliation for Iniquity

Reconciliation is atonement for our sins. As our Kinsman Redeemer, Yahshua Messiah took upon Himself all of our sins under the Old Covenant, thus atoning for the millions of violations of our oath at Mt. Sinai.

4.) To Bring In Everlasting Righteousness

Again, this process was only begun at Calvary. All of Christian history, starting from that day, was designed and intended by Yahweh to bring in everlasting righteousness (justice according to His Laws). This will not be accomplished until the Second Coming, when both death and evil will be destroyed.

5.) To Seal Up the Vision and the Prophecy

This means that Calvary fulfilled the Seventy Weeks prophecy. All of the prophecies concerning the first Advent wre fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Jesus fulfilled literally hundreds of Messianic prophecies. Of this there is do doubt. The Jews cannot argue against these fulfillments; therefore, they ignore them and teach a completely different religion. This religion is NOT based on the Old Testament. It is based on anti-Messianic interpretations of the Old Testament, called the Babylonian Talmud. The Babylonian Talmud utterly rejects Jesus as the Messiah. This is only one of the thousands of reasons why Judaism cannot be considered the religion of Moses.

6.) To Anoint the Most Holy

Zechariah 9:9 tells us this about the Messiah’s entry into Jerusalem:

9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

The Days of Anointing

The Gospel of John gives us the fulfillment, leading up to the triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

John 12:1-16 (King James Version):

1Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

2There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

3Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

The day after having His feet anointed by Mary Magdalene, Yahshua made his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, to the cries of "Blessed is the King of Israel."

4Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,

5Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

6This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

7Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.

8For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

9Much people of the Jews [of Judea] therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

 10But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

11Because that by reason of him many of the Judeans went away [from the doctrine of the Pharisees], and believed on Jesus.

12On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

13Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

14And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

15Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

16These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

Mark 14:3 gives an important detail left out in the gospel of John:

3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

The anointing of His head verified Him as King of Israel. The anointing of His feet verified Him as the Passover Lamb, for His burial would take place in less than a week.

Thus, Jesus Christ is the fully ANOINTED ONE, having been anointed as King and Messiah before numerous witnesses – even the Pharisees were witnesses, and they understood that He was a True Israelite, which they were not. That is why they resolved to kill Him. The Pharisees understood that, had Jesus taken His royal crown, He would have abolished their priesthood, which was a usurpation of the Levitical priesthood of True Judah. This fact is confirmed at John 7:35.

The Lamb of God had to be slain before the Lion of Judah could take the throne. Two thousand years must intervene between these two Advents.

Given all of these fulfillments, it is quite certain that Jesus of Nazareth is the ONE AND ONLY MESSIAH. No other human being has come even close to fulfilling even one of these prophecies, let alone all of them! Let God be true and every Jew a liar (paraphrasing Paul at Romans 3:4). He who denies that Jesus is the Messiah is antichrist. (I John 2:22; 4:3.)

The Historicity of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks

25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. (Daniel 9:25.)

The Book of Ezra tells us: "And even I Artaxerxes, the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily." – Vs. 21.

The Bible records several decrees to rebuild Jerusalem, but only one can count as the starting point of the Seventy Weeks prophecy. The decree of Artaxerxes to rebuild Jerusalem is the commandment of which the archangel Gabriel spoke. This decree was given in 457 B.C.

Here is a good summary of these historical events:

Cyrus, in 536 B.C., allowed the Jews [sic, Judahites – Eli] to return to Jerusalem, but Cyrus died in 530 B.C., he was followed by Cambyses, who was followed by False Smerdis. Smerdis reigned only half a year, long enough for his soldiers to destroy a great many temples around the empire. It would seem that the earlier progress made of rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem was also ruined at this time, because, according to Haggai 2:18, in 520 BC the Israelites are again beginning work by laying the foundation of the temple. Very probably it was under Smerdis' rule that the Israelites gave up all hope of ever restoring their temple again. Haggai says, they stopped work believing "The time is not right", and he says that the temple was in "ruins".

In 522 B.C., Darius I, a fairminded ruler, goes about setting things straight again in the Persian empire. With his support and Haggai's encouragement, temple construction is resumed. From 520-515 B.C. the work went forward, and the temple was built.

Basically from 536-457 B.C. the Israelites were a struggling group of people with no real government, city or well defined country. They built themselves houses, and managed to build a temple. It wasn't until Artaxerxes came to the throne 464 B.C. that we actually see them rebuilding the city. It was during Artaxerxes reign that the adversaries appealed to legislation to stop Israel, for they were "building a rebellious and evil city".

Daniel 9: 25 reads "From the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem. . .the street shall be built again and the walls, even in troublous times"

So we see Ezra receiving his decree from Artaxerxes in 457 BC. (In the seventh year of Artaxerxes) The decree gives further help in establishing the temple, but it also gives Israel the right to self government. Up till 457 BC the leaders in Judea were no more than county commissioners. They could look after local problems but they did not have judicial or executive authority. Now they did! They could set up their own magistrates and judges to carry out their laws. Now they were recognized as a nation. This is why this decree is so important to the reestablishment of Jerusalem!

Israel must have seen this decree as a decree to rebuild Jerusalem as well for we read: "In the reign of Artaxerxes," they (adversaries) wrote to Artaxerxes that Israel should not be allowed to rebuild, "the rebellious city, finishing its walls and repairing the foundations" because (the adversaries said) Israel would rise in rebellion." (When the Bible says Artaxerxers, I believe it means Artaxerxes not Cambyses)

Artaxerxes writes back a command that is very unlike the commands of Persian kings, it seems to be uncertain, as if he's not sure he's doing the right thing:
"Now give command to make these men cease, that this city may not be built until the command is given by me." He is making a counter command to one he made earlier and is giving only a temporary order to stop the work. He is allowing himself a way out of this law.

This probably took place between 456-454 B.C. when the Persian Governor over the (western) section of the middle east, Megabyzos, rebelled against Artaxerxes, taking his subjects with him. It's was a perfect setup for Samaria to win points with the Persian monarch and get even with Israel.

Did Artaxerxes believe the Samaritans? He seemed not sure, however the region was in rebellion and he didn't want to take chances. The kings reply was great victory for the Samaritans who went "immediately to the Jews in Jerusalem and compelled them by force to stop" (Ezra 4:23) While they were about it, they apparently knocked down the rebuilt sections of the wall, and burned several gates. (Neh.1:3)

Artaxerxes and Megabyzos made peace, and things settled down again. This is where Nehemiah comes into the picture. He hears the sad news that the attempts to rebuild Jerusalem were totally frustrated. He talks it over with Artaxerxes, who gives him permission to go and rebuild Jerusalem. Artaxerxes had left the option of reversing his "Cessation command" open and now that rebellion was over he allowed the work to progress once again. 444 B.C. Work once again began. This time the walls were put up successfully.

Daniel 9:24 said they would be rebuilt in troublous times and they definitely had trouble.

Is 457 B.C. the right date? Is it the starting point of the great time prophecies? As I've said before, it makes sense to me. Coupled with the fulfilment of the Messiah coming 483 years later, being cut off in the midst of the final week of the 490 year prophecy, causing ceremonial sacrifices to cease. To me there is no question. The beginning point for the "seventy weeks", according to the historical-Messianic interpretation, is the "going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem" (Dan. 9:25). The 69 weeks or 483 years, takes us to the anointing of Messiah the Prince, at His baptism in 27 A.D. in the 15th year of the Roman emperor Tiberius (Luke 3:5)

Messiah is "cut off" for our transgressions (Isaiah 53:8) in the midst of the "week" or after three and a half years, 31 A.D. Then, at the end of the 490 years allotted to Israel, we see them launch their attack against Christians (against Christ) with the stoning of Stephen. Thus ends the "time given to Israel" as a nation (though as individuals God sees neither Jew nor Gentile, all who come to Him in sincere faith are His children)

In 457 B.C. they did not have calendars like we have. This fact can give room for doubts and arguments on the exactness of the date. Different nations used different ways to figure the years of the kings' reigns.

Ezra 7:7-8 tells us the decree was issued in the 7th year of Artaxerxes I. The seventh year of Artaxerxes I is relatively sure as being in 458/457.
(Remember years run backward in B.C.)

That means the seventh year of Artaxerxes started in the fall of 458 and ran through to the summer of 457.

Several historians say that the seventh year of Artaxerxes extended from the fall of 458 to the fall of 457 B.C. or 458/457.

Ezra returned to Palestine in 457 B.C. Ezra's journey to Jerusalem began in Nisan and ended in Ab of 457 B.C. (Ezra 7:8-9). Thus, according to our months, Ezra's trip lasted from April to late July 457 B.C.

The decree of Artaxerxes I went into effect after Ezra's arrival in Palestine in the early fall—or late summer—of 457 B.C. This was "the going forth" of the decree recoded in Daniel 9:25-26.

(Source: http://dedication.www3.50megs.com/457.html (Adventist Biblical Truth).

The author falsely refers to our ancestors as "Jews." Of course, every Judeo-Christian makes this mistake. We know them as Judahites of the tribe or House of Judah, not those Edomites who call themselves "Jews.")

The Exact Date of the Crucifixion

Having pinpointed the beginning of the countdown to the period of 458/457 BC, we can start doing the math. But we also need to know the end date of the prophecy, so that we can verify the prophecy from beginning to end.

Crucial to our understanding of the fulfillment of this prophecy is knowing the exact date of the Crucifixion. Numerous scholars have given us their opinions, and the obvious conclusion is that the Crucifixion had to occur during the tenure of Pilate, which was 26 AD to 36 AD.

According to one author’s summary of the verifiable historical information:

History records 3 prominent rulers mentioned in the New

Testament at the time that Jesus was said to have died:

* Tiberius Caesar ruled from 14 AD - 37 AD

* Herod Antipas ruled from 4 BC - 39 AD, he divorced his wife

and married his half brother Herod's wife, which caused

John the Baptist to condemn that marriage, and John then

lost his head for saying such.

* Pontius Pilate ruled from 26 AD - 36 AD.

Pilate's rule looks to limit Jesus's year of death to a

span of only 10 years time. The gospel of Luke says that

John the Baptist started preaching in the 15th year of

Tiberius Caesar's rule: 14 AD + 15 - 1 = 28 AD

Given John the Baptist's arrival, needing to preach for a while

first (let's guess a year for John to preach), and that Jesus

had to later minister for more than 3 years, Jesus had to have

died some time after: 28 + 1 + 3 = 32 AD, and also had to die

before Pilate left his position in 36 AD. Therefore, Jesus died

some time between 32 AD and 36 AD.

The 33 AD prediction falls within the 32 AD to 36 AD time span.

Regarding the fact that the Gospels tell us that the crucifixion occurred in conjunction with a Passover, one day before a Sabbath, the same author states:

It is possible to find all years where the first high day fell on

the Sabbath to verify which years are possible candidates for the

year of Jesus's death. As it turns out, between the years 27AD

and 38AD, there are only 2 years where the high day fell on a Sabbath

and those two years are 33AD and 36AD. So given this, during the

period of 32AD to 36AD (after John started preaching plus Jesus's

preaching, yet before Pilate's rule ended), the only years possible

for Jesus to have died in, are 33 AD and 36 AD.

The 36 AD year is ruled out for a number of reasons. Essentially

too many things had to happen during that year, and one account

given, becomes void when 36 AD is checked as a possible crucifixion

date. Pilate was told to return to Rome in 36 AD, he arrived there

after Tiberius Caesar died, before Passover in 37AD. Herod Antipas

was in a war with Aretus in 36AD and wouldn't have had time to be

across the Dead Sea during the preparation of Passover at Jesus's

trial. Herod Antipas was said to have been desiring to see Jesus,

but in 36 AD, that was during a time of Herod's war and preparing

for war with Aretus. There is also the issue that if Jesus died

in 36 AD, with a 3.5 year ministry that makes him 32.5 (or older)

at the start of it, and Luke said he "began to be about 30" (29.5?)

at that time. His birth as the next article states, had to happen

soon after the tetrarchy was formed so the people could be

registered under their specific tetrarch, and that happened only

2 or 3 years after 4 BC, making Jesus too old for Luke's statement

that Jesus "began to be about 30". The 33 AD crucifixion year,

does not have any of the issues the 36AD year has.

The only year that matches all accounts, is 33 AD.

As the Sabbath is Friday evening until Saturday evening and

Jesus died just prior to the Sabbath (they didn't want his body

to be left on the cross during the Sabbath), Jesus had to have

died prior to Friday evening.

Therefore, Jesus died just prior to the 1st Passover feast day

(which that year fell on the Sabbath), on Friday before evening,

in 33 AD.

Regarding the same historical events, another author has this to say:

This means that to fit into John's description of the timing of holy week, Jesus must have died in the years 33 or 36. A case for 36 A.D. is weakened because we know from other historical writings that Pilate was called back to Rome in 36 A.D. and Herod Antipas was preoccupied that year with a regional conflict with the Nabateans. These facts makes it improbable that either or both of them were in Jerusalem if Holy Week took place in 36 A.D.. Even if they were present that year this would leave little time for the two to have had any additional friendly relations after the events of Holy Week as indicated in Luke 23:12 since Pilate would in short order return to Rome.

The arguments for 33 A.D. are much stronger as one attempts to date Jesus' death according to other evidence in the Scriptures. Luke remarks that Jesus was "thirty years of age" when he began his ministry (Luke 3:23). A close examination of synoptics seem to indicate that Jesus' ministry lasted at least three years. Significant Biblical scholars believe that Jesus was born 3-2 B.C.. Herod the Great died in 1 B.C.. This means Jesus begins His ministry around 29 A.D.. This then means Jesus was 34 to 35 years old when he died in 33 A.D.. (Note: There is no year "0" in the B.C. to A.D. transition, therefore one loses a year in the counting of age.) This, of course, strongly supports a 33 A.D. dating. – John P. Boatwright, "Proof Jesus Died Just Before the Passover Feast in 33 AD."

(Source: http://www.newwinemission.com/_mgxroot/page_10782.html )

Stephen E. Jones, in his epic analysis of Biblical prophecy and timing, The Secrets of Time, gives us these details:

"We know from Luke’s account that a supernatural darkness covered the land from the sixth hour to the ninth hour, or from noon to 3 pm. But two hours after the sun reappeared, there was a natural eclipse of the moon. These two heavenly signs marked the date of the crucifixion on April 3, 33 AD. It was a foreshadowing of Jesus’ prophecy in Matthew 24:29 that the sun would be darkened and the moon would not give her light. We see this occurring quite literally on the day of His crucifixion." - p. 107.

Finally, John Pratt, the Mormon historian and chronographer, who has correlated various calendars from around the world, has this to say:

The day Sun 3 Apr AD 33 is the ideal symbolic fit to the Venus Calendar because it occurred right on the very Day 1 Resurrection. It was also a holy day on the Hebrew Calendar, being the time of the offering of the sheaf of firstfruits of the barley harvest. For simplicity, I have simply renamed that holy day "Easter" on the Hebrew Calendar, now that it is clear that it foreshadowed Christ being the firstfruits from the harvest of souls from the ground (I Cor. 15:20). It is determined almost exactly the same as the Christian Easter, being the Sunday after Passover. Easter only occurs on I Resurrection once in 584 years. Moreover, the day was 1 Creation on the Mercury calendar." - "Venus and the Beginning of Mortality," p. 6.

What could these two Mayan calendars possibly have to do with Jesus Christ? As I have explained elsewhere (Why 2012? http://www.anglo-saxonisrael.com/why2012.php ), the ancient "Mayan" monuments, pyramids and observatories were not built by Amerindian savages. They were built by the "bearded White men," who came in boats from the Atlantic Ocean, built many of these ancient structures and then mysteriously disappeared, just as they had mysteriously arrived. It is quite possible that Mexico City is the oldest continuously inhabited city on the planet. Its original name was "Tenochtitlan," meaning "City of Enoch." The discovery of Kennewick man is proof positive that the White Race was on American soil as long ago as 10,000 BC. But natural catastrophes, such as one or two ice ages, drought, and possibly even Noah’s Deluge, forced the White man to move on. Being ancient mariners, they would have left in ships also.

The point of all this is to suggest that the Mayan calendars were conceived and invented by our ancient ancestors, Adam, Seth and Enoch; and either they or their near descendants came to America and built those monuments to time. This explains the apparently circumstantial fact that April 3, 33 AD is highlighted on all three calendars: the Hebrew, Venus and Mercury calendars. It is not just a coincidence. As John Pratt suggests, it is prophetically realized fact.

[I also include here a devastating critique of Dispensationalist Robert Anderson’s attempt to place the last seven years into the future. http://www.pickle-publishing.com/papers/sir-robert-anderson.htm It is a very technical article, by Bob Pickle, correcting from Julian calendar dates to Gregorian calendar dates, but the author concludes, after doing the astronomy and math, that the correct dates are 458 BC to 33 AD, thus accounting for all 490 years.]

So, due to a wealth of historical information, plus astronomical information, the consensus is that the date of the Crucifixion was April 3, 33 AD. Now we have a beginning date and an end date by which we can determine the accuracy of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks prophecy.

The First 7 Weeks of Years

Going back to Daniel 9:25, two periods of time are mentioned. The first is the 7 weeks of years during which the repairs were made to the city of Jerusalem. Using the day for a year prophetic timetable, the angel Gabriel is telling Daniel that there will be 49 years (7 weeks of years) between the commandment to rebuild the walls and streets of Jerusalem and the accomplishment of that fact. The books of Ezra and Nehemiah record the various events of those "troublous times."

Verse 25 also mentions a sixty-two week period, which begins immediately after the conclusion of the first 7 weeks.

The Sixty-Two Weeks

26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

After 7 weeks of years, Jerusalem was to be rebuilt. Then, after sixty-two more weeks of years (434 years), Messiah’s baptism took place at the hand of John the Baptist. So, the first 69 weeks (483 years) brings us to the beginning of Jesus’ mission in Judea. Verses 25 and 26 tell us that AFTER the 69th week, Messiah would be "cut off."

Having achieved the age of thirty (Luke 3:23), Jesus was eligible to become a priest of Israel. Both John and Jesus had become priests around the same time. John was six months older than Jesus. Thus John was already a priest and qualified to baptize Jesus.

In the Adventist article quoted earlier, the author chose to date the beginning of the prophecy with Ezra’s arrival in Jerusalem in 457 BC. If his historical starting point of late July, 457 BC is correct, then we should be able to confirm the Adventist author’s conclusions.

However, Daniel 9:25 says that the correct starting point is the exact date on which Artaxerxes issued his proclamation. "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem" means from the issuing of the commandment. This proclamation would have occurred anywhere from the Fall of 458 BC to the Spring of 457 BC. Given a target date of 33 AD, 458 BC is the logical choice.

Now, let’s do the math for the 69 weeks that have been prophesied so far.

The Historicity of the 69 Weeks

69 weeks of years = 483 years. Starting with 458 BC as the year in which the proclamation of Artaxerxes was issued, here are the numbers. Let’s break the calculation up into stages, in order to avoid the confusion of crossing over from BC to AD.

458 BC – 457 years = 1 BC. This is the last year of the BC calendar. Since there is no year zero, the next year is 1 AD.

1 BC + 1 year = 1 AD. So, 458 years of the prophecy brings us to 1 AD.

483 – 458 = 25. Of the initial 69 "weeks," we have 25 years left over, which will be added to the 1 AD calculation.

1 AD + 25 years = 26 AD.

The 69 weeks, or 483 years, ended in the year 26 AD. With the previous discussion of the fact that the Crucifixion occurred in the year 33 AD, the final week of years also fits perfectly.

Seventy weeks of years = 490 years.

458 BC + 490 = 33 AD. From this analysis, every year of the Seventy Weeks is accounted for, and the crucifixion is the termination point of the prophecy.

The Futurist Interpretation Refuted

For some reason, the futurists divide the 70th week into two distinct halves, with the latter half being reserved for the End Times. What is the possible justification for this view? Here is the futurist view, as presented in a Wikipedia article:

9:26b

Jerusalem Destroyed:

and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined.

B'. Daniel 9:27a

Anointed one:

And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease;

A'. Daniel 9:27b

Jerusalem Destroyed:

and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

Analysis

Shea who subscribes to the historicist view of Daniel, makes three errors, one of syntax, one of grammar and one of interpretation.

Daniel 9:25 deals with two durations, #1 from the time of the command to rebuild to the time of an anointed one a prince and #2 from the time Jerusalem is rebuilt to the time of its destruction. Two durations are supplied, "seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks". Shea combines these two durations, but syntax requires the first for #1 and the second for #2. Shea's combination obscures the text, for it doesn't explain what happens after seven weeks, while Daniel 9:26 repeats the 62 weeks already mentioned.

The grammar error is that Shea disregards the lack of definite article first in 9:25 "an anointed one a prince" and in 9:26 "an anointed one". The second because it doesn't have a definite article means that it is not the same anointed one as the first, which Shea assumes.

The error of interpretation is that Shea assumes that the one who makes a firm covenant with many is the anointed one, but the text indicates that it is the prince whose people shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. William H. Shea notes that verses 25-27 form a chiasm:

A. Daniel 9:25a (ASV)

Jerusalem Construction:

Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem

B. Daniel 9:25b

Anointed one:

unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:

C. Daniel 9:25c

Jerusalem Construction:

it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times.

D. Daniel 9:26a

Anointed one:

And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one be cut off, and shall have nothing:

C'. Daniel

The seventy weeks

The structure of the seventy weeks is as follows:

1. Command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem

7 weeks

7

2. An anointed one, a prince

62 weeks, the city remains rebuilt

69

3. An anointed one is cut off

½ week

69½

4. Sacrifice stopped, abomination of desolation

½ week

70

5. the decreed end

(Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_Seventy_Weeks )

In my opinion, this futurist view and criticism of the historicist view is terribly flawed. First of all, the author insists that Shea is wrong in beginning the 62-week count immediately after the initial 7-week count. He claims a contextual reason for suggesting a pause, but he does not state what it is!!!

His analysis of Daniel 9:25 is this:

Daniel 9:25 deals with two durations, #1 from the time of the command to rebuild to the time of an anointed one a prince and #2 from the time Jerusalem is rebuilt to the time of its destruction.

The error is committed by the futurist, not by Shea, the historicist. The futurist has confused the events of Daniel 9:25 with the events of Daniel 9:26. He argues that Daniel 9:25 references the future destruction of Jerusalem. This is a gross error. Daniel 9:25 concludes with these words:

"the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." Daniel 9:25 says absolutely nothing about the future destruction of the city of Jerusalem. Its focus is on the REBUILDING of the city after the return from Babylon. This is the type of mistake you would expect a kindergardener to make!!! The "troublous times" are a reference to the troubles that Ezra and Nehemiah had in rebuilding the city. It is NOT a reference to the future destruction of the City.

The destruction is predicted in Verse 26, but this destruction is not necessarily part of the 70 weeks. It merely says that AFTER Messiah is cut off, the temple and Jerusalem will be destroyed. We know that this destruction did not occur until 70 AD!!! It just shows how little these Judeo-Christians know about biblical history!!! Thus, they are forced to resort to their vain imaginations in order to "interpret" prophecy! It is easy to see how false doctrine emerges from such sloppy "scholarship." And I use the word "scholarship" advisedly. This stuff is so bad that the futuristic interpretation smells like deliberate obfuscation!

Furthermore, in Daniel 9:26, the futurists deny that Messiah is the one who confirms the covenant! Can you believe this?

The futurist makes this assertion:

The error of interpretation is that Shea assumes that the one who makes a firm covenant with many is the anointed one, but the text indicates that it is the prince whose people shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

Here, the futurist is completely mistaken. This is another gross error. In the light of the entire foregoing discussion in this sermon, the futurist doesn’t know what he is talking about. There can be only ONE ANOINTED ONE; and that is Jesus Christ. The Judahites of Judea would never consider anointing the leader of an invading army. The idea is patently absurd. What other covenant could possibly beimplied here? The "covenant" must be with Israel, so the futurist must supply the historical record of this "covenant," just as we have provided the documentation of Artaxerxes’ decree. Of course, he provides no such documnetation, so his analysis is nothing but uneducated speculation. Jesus told us to wary of these false prophets. The futurists make matters even worse by insisting that the leader of this invading army is none other than the anti-Christ. But Daniel 9 says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THE ANTI-CHRIST! This is pure invention on the part of the false prophets of Judeo-Christianity!

Sorting Out the Language of Daniel 9:25-26

Let’s look at what Daniel 9:26 really means:

26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: [This is exactly what happened. The Messiah was cut off after the 69th week, shedding His Blood for Israel.] and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary [The Messiah is not referred to as "Prince" in verse 26. Here, the KJV translators got it right!! The lower case ‘prince’ is a reference to General Titus of the Roman Army. It was under Titus that the Temple was completely demolished in 70 AD. Again the futurist is guilty of an outlandish interpretation, which is nothing but pure speculation]; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. [The war between the Romans and Judeans was an especially bloody war. At least 1.5 million Judeans were killed in the fighting from 70 AD until 133 AD.]

Verse 26 says that Messiah shall be cut of and then ANOTHER "prince" [Hebrew #5057, ragid, meaning "commander, prince, chief" – not Messiah the Prince, as in Verse 25] will destroy the city and the sanctuary. This is a brief prophecy contained within the verse, namely, that a future "prince," who will appear after Messiah has come, will destroy Jerusalem. This is exactly what Titus and the Roman army did in 70 AD. To fail to understand this historical sequence of events is to display egregious ignorance regarding the known history of that time. But the futurist nonsense does not end there.

To further confuse matters, futurists mix up the timing of Verse 27 with their already confused timing of verses 25 and 26. This is the origin of the division of the 70th week into two periods of 3&1/2 years. Verse 27 says nothing of the kind.

The Historicist View Confirmed

Daniel 9:27:

27And he [Messiah] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Again, these events happened exactly as prophesied. Yahshua confirmed the Covenant with His people, Israel, during the final week of the 70 weeks prophecy. The usual interpretation of this verse is that, in the midst of the last prophetic "week" of 7 years, Jesus was baptized by John and He began His ministry, which was to announce and establish the New Covenant, which would abolish the sacrificial ordinances that were practiced by the Levitical priesthood since the days of Moses. The Last Supper was the actual event at which the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-37 was instituted. All of this was FINISHED on April 3, 33 AD.

But the futurists twist this language to mean the appearance of "the abomination of desolation" at the end of days. But the construction, "abomination of desolation" is NOT referenced in Daniel 9:27. The "abomination of desolation" was a term applied to Antiochus Epiphanes, the Greek invader who had sacrificed pigs on the altar of the Temple during the days of the Maccabees.

Daniel 9:27 is clearly saying that Messiah shall confirm the Covenant of ritual sacrifice for one week, UNTIL HE HIMSELF ABOLISHES THAT PRACTICE WITH HIS OWN SELF-SACRIFICE – MESSIAH HIMSELF BEING THE LAST SACRIFICE UNDER THE OLD COVENANT!!! (I Cor. 5:7-8; Hebrews 10:1-18.)

During His final week on earth, at the Last Supper, Jesus declared the NEW COVENANT. So, at the Last Supper, Yahshua officially declared the fact that the Temple sacrifices and oblations would cease! This occurred in 33 AD, just before the Crucifixion. It would take until 70 AD before the "overspreading of abominations" in this Temple by the Edomite Jews would be stopped by General Titus of Rome. By twisting the construction, "overspreading of abominations" into "abomination of desolation," the futurists have performed a subtle trick, a clever little piece of sleight of hand, the old "switcheroo," substituting a phrase which has a completely different meaning from what Daniel is actually saying! Aside from the fact that both phrases contain the word ‘abomination,’ there is nothing equal about them!

Daniel is telling us about the destruction of the Temple, because of the OVERSPREADING OF ABOMINATIONS THEREIN, which was at that time under to control of the Edomite Pharisees, who had usurped the priesthood of Israel, wrenching it away from the House of Judah, and who had continued to practice their ritual sacrifices until Titus put an end to their abominations. The Roman Army was actually doing God’s work, bruising the head of the SERPENT, by putting Satan’s priesthood out of the business of ritual sacrifice. This is actually a partial fulfillment of Gen. 3:15, in which the seed of Eve will eventually CRUSH the head of the Serpent.

Clifton Emahiser puts it this way:

"The death of Yahshua was not the bruising of the head of the serpent, but the bruising of the heel of the Messiah for He rose again…In Romans 16:20, Paul told the Romans that they would soon tread upon the head of Satan. By Yahshua using the Romans as his representatives to do this, suggests very strongly, with this "bruising," He was NOT acting in a singular individual sense. No doubt, this bruising took place when the Roman army besieged Jerusalem, for the majority of "Jews" there at that time were of their father, Satan.

"Those who know the story of the establishing of Rome, understand it was founded under the sign of the wolf, Romulus and Remus. This is the insignia of Benjamin. In other words, many of the Roman soldiers under Titus were Benjmaites. Also, Zarah-Judah had settled in that same area at one time and probably had a bigger role than imagined, and was in all likelihood part of that Roman army."

With all of the Apostles, except Judas, being Benjamites of Galilee, and the Roman garrisons containing at least some Benjamites and Zarah-Judahites of the Dispersion, it becomes obvious that "the people of the prince" in Dan. 9:27 were Roman Israelites! This has NOTHING to do with any anti-Christ! And it would be these Israelites of the Dispersion, who crushed the head of the Jewish serpent in 70 AD!!!!! They were brought back to Judea by Yahweh Himself to do the job!!! I can’t wait for that job to finished, once and for all!!!

Dear reader, I hope you are appreciating the fact that these prophecies of Daniel have been fulfilled to the letter, while the futurists can only dance around the prophecies like so many Injuns!!!

The consummation is a reference to the Day of Judgment, when all abominations will be destroyed; and nothing will be left of the modern "abomination of desolation," which is none other than the Zionist Israeli State, under THEIR PRINCE of Mystery Babylon, Rothschild.

The "Third" Temple

We know that the rabbis of Israeli fully intend to reestablish the ritual sacrifices in a proposed Third Temple. (In fact, some Jewish sects actually still sacrifice chickens and other animals in their rituals!!) But this is a JEWISH plan. It is NOT Yahweh’s plan. The Bible clearly teaches that the "temple" of the NEW COVENANT will be one "made without hands." In other words, the "temple" is our Israelite bodies, not some brick and mortar edifice. Judaism reveals itself to be nothing but a TOTAL CORRUPTION of the Holy Scriptures! Not only are they Christ deniers, they completely rebel against the clear prophecies that the sacrifices shall cease!

"Know ye not that YE are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" (I Cor. 3:16.) Can this be any plainer?

Jesus Christ Himself placed a curse upon the City of Jerusalem, a curse which would not be lifted until His Second Coming:

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent to you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, AND YOU WOULD NOT!!!! BEHOLD, YOUR HOUSE IS LEFT UNTO YOU DESOLATE. For I say to you, YOU SHALL NOT SEE ME HEREAFTER, TILL YOU SHALL SAY, ‘Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord.’" ((Matt. 23:37-39.)

Don’t hold your breath, waiting for the Jewsraelis to adopt Christianity!!!!

This is part of the GREAT FALSE HOPE, which the Jews themselves have instilled into the minds of the Christian Zionists, constantly exploiting the expert brainwashing skills of their paid hirelings, the televangelists, who are nothing but the agents of the anti-Christ!!!

Satan always tries to establish HIS COUNTERFEIT, in order to fool the masses, before the real prophecy is fulfilled. The New Jerusalem can only come with the SECOND ADVENT. The "Third Temple" is the COUNTERFEIT of the New Jerusalem!!!!

It is clear to me that this confused jumble of futuristic mumbo-jumbo has been designed with one purpose in mind: to provide Scriptural pretext for the Jewish version of the "messianic" prophecies, which totally exclude the First Advent and require a literal third temple to be built in Jerusalem at some future date. All of this is Satanic, Jewish materialism. It is NOT Scriptural.

According to the futurists, this rebuilding of the "Temple" in Jerusalem is supposed to happen in the final "3½-year" period, just before the "messiah" comes. Numerous Judeo-Christians take this interpretation as "gospel." This may be Lucifer’s plan, but it is not Yahweh’s. To add misplaced hope to egregious folly, the Dispensationalists believe that the Jewish people will be "converted" during this final 3½-year period, thus reversing 2,000 years of denying the True Christ. Talk about DELUSION!! If all of this happens, it will only be the self-fulfilling prophecy OF THEIR OWN DOOM!!

Of course, Daniel has spoken no such thing. The futurist point of view is pure hocus-pocus, designed to fool Christians into supporting the Zionist New World Order. In this way, the anti-Christ Jews have enlisted the support of the deluded Christian Zionists, who are actually supporting the anti-Christ in his drive for world dictatorship. By cleverly twisting the words of Daniel, Satan and his Jewish conniver children have deceived the masses of the Judeo-Christian world. He has hired "wolves in sheep’s clothing" to pervert the Holy Scriptures, thus using the Scriptures to suit his own design.

Know this for sure: Lucifer and his children are still in a full state of rebellion against Yahweh! And for this they will be destroyed, not converted.

He Shall Cause the Sacrifice and the Oblation to Cease

Let’s look at verses 24-27 in their entirety, to get the whole picture:

"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." – Vs. 24-27.

First of all, there is absolutely no possibility that the anti-Christ confirms the covenant. It was Messiah who confirmed the Covenant with His People, Israel and Judah. Secondly, we must understand that it is Yahweh Himself who will cause the destruction of Jerusalem. This is because of the overspreading of abominations amongst the people there, most of whom were Edomite Jews – not Judahites or Benjamites of the House of Judah. Come, let us reason together: Would the anti-Christ destroy a place because of "the overspreading of abominations"? Satan does not destroy his own handiwork!!! Obviously, the Pharisaic rabbis continued to use the Temple as a currency exchange; and they continued to sell doves, other sacrificial animals and ritualistic paraphernalia! Since most of Satan’s deceptions require centuries to establish, he does not lightly make such sacrifices, especially if the enterprise is cash cow like the Jewish temple! Did not Jesus say, "If Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?" Satan – and the Jews – wanted to PRESERVE animal sacrifice; but the Roman army put the Pharisees out of business. The Jewish priesthood has been without a Temple in Jerusalem since that time. This is Yahweh’s doing!!!

Paul clearly declares that Yahshua’s sacrifice was once and for all! THERE WILL BE NO MORE ANIMAL SACRIFICE FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, and any priesthood that tries to reestablish this practice will be spitting in the face of Yahweh!!! As I have stated elsewhere, if the Jews try to reestablish this practice again in Jerusalem, Yahshua’s wrath will come upon them in a most furious way! This will be, quite literally, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit!

He Shall Confirm the Covenant With Many for One Week.

The words, "He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week," have baffled many interpreters, because the fact is that Yahshua Messiah’s ministry did not last one "week" of years. His ministry only lasted 3&1/2 years. This statement is the only one in Daniel 9 that I have found to be confusing, because it creates a conflict regarding the actual start time of the final week and the actual duration of His ministry. This contradiction in timing must be resolved. I have struggled with this problem for literally two decades, until it finally occurred to me that the "one week" of Daniel 9:27 is not one of the prophetic 70 weeks of years. It is rather, and more importantly, a reference to the final week of His life, the fabled Holy Week, beginning with the anointing by Mary Magdalene. With this observation, the contradiction is logically eliminated.

Thus, the statement, "He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week," is a reference to His fellowshipping with His disciples in Bethany and Jerusalem during Holy Week. It would not, therefore, be a reference to the beginning of the 70th "week" of Daniel’s 70.

In the very next clause, however, we are told, "…in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…" And this would be a reference to the baptism of John in the Jordan River, which, although occurring in the middle of the final "week," was the BEGINNING of His ministry. Having just reached the age of thirty, Jesus was now qualified to be a priest! Yahweh’s Law says a man must be thirty years of age before he can be a priest, and He would not expect His Son to break that Law!!! The highlight of this baptism by John was the point at which the Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, descended upon Jesus and Yahweh spoke the immortal words, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matt. 3:17, fulfilling Ps. 2:7 and Isa. 42:1)

This is a highly symbolic event, because it anticipated the return of the Holy Spirit (Shekinah Glory) into the Adamic race. This Spirit was breathed into Adam and Eve by Yahweh, but it was lost by those two of our ancestors when they committed fornication in the Garden. Jesus told us, "I will send you the comforter" (Holy Spirit); but this Comforter could not be bestowed until He paid the price of Israel’s sins, under the Old covenant, were washed clean on the Cross. (John 14:16, 26; 15:26.)

If I am correct in my analysis, then the "one week" is a reference to Holy Week, and the "midst of the week" is a reference to Yahshua’s baptism, the beginning of His earthly ministry. The contradiction is thus resolved!

Dispensationalist Confusion

It is also true that this confusion of timing in Daniel 9 has caused the futurists to make another huge mistake. Referring back to the chart above, points 3 & 4, which are in shaded bars, they assert that the "cutting off" will occur mid-week. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT DANIEL SAYS!!! Daniel says merely that Messiah shall be cut off AFTER the 69th week. There is no suggestion that the Crucifixion will occur in the middle of this final "week." The sloppy "scholarship" involved in this interpretation is glaringly obvious. It simply does not say that Messiah will be cut off in the middle of the week. It says, "He shall confirm the Covenant with many for one week." Both the confirming of the Covenant and the cutting off will occur AFTER the 69th week. That’s all it is saying! The futurists have performed another switcheroo, a gambit which works very well on those who do not read the Scriptures for themselves! Having confused the two concepts (the "confirming of the Covenant" with the "cutting off"), the futurists are hopelessly lost in a maze of futile speculations! Here, again, the futurists have deliberately rearranged the words to suit themselves!!!

Before expounding further on this point, it is important to note that the verse says "many," not "all." Earlier, I documented how even His closest Disciples did not understand that He was the Messiah. It was only during the final week of His ministry that He was acknowledged as the Priest-King, Kinsman Redeemer of Israel, the Promised One, the Messiah. This had always been a matter of dispute during His entire ministry. Even the Apostles doubted and wavered. During His 3&1/2-year ministry, the evidence was being presented by Jesus in His miracles and foreknowledge, but few actually believed that the promised Messiah was walking in their midst!!!! For us, hindsight is 20/20. For those who lived in Judah and Galilee in those days, the full meaning of the First Advent could hardly have been a matter of ready understanding. Only those fully familiar with the prophecies could have understood what was happening; and even they had doubts!!!

The day on which He was anointed by Mary Magdalene was the day which began the final week. His ride into Jerusalem on an ass occurred the next day. Later that week, He established the New Covenant at the Last Supper. Soon after, He was arrested and tried for claiming to be what He was: the Messiah, the Son of God. On the last day of the week, He was crucified (sacrificed). Little did the Judahites of Judea realize that their Kinsman Redeemer had come to sacrifice Himself for their sins!!!

The Rationale for the Literal Week Hypothesis

After years of trying to resolve this issue of the "one week" conundrum, which is commonly assumed to mean the last prophetic "week" of seven years, I realized that I had stumbled onto a logical solution. This realization has come upon me only in the last few weeks. During my radio discussions with Bill Finck about 2-Seedline on our Christogenos shows on Friday nights { www.talkshoe.com/tc/30258 }, we had talked about examples of Scriptural words which were used BOTH literally and figuratively in the same Chapter, and sometimes even in the same sentence. This was clearly the case in Genesis 2:16-17, where, in verse 16, the literal fruit of trees is meant, but, in verse 17, the "tree" of KNOWLEDGE can only be a metaphorical "tree." The "forbidden fruit" is RACE-MIXING, not a literal apple!!! Besides, if apples could make us "wise," none of us would be stupid!

Pastor Jay Faber, on another show, had pointed out that the words "in the midst of the Garden" in Gen. 3:3 can also be translated as "throughout the Garden," meaning that the people of this particular family tree could be found inhabiting the Garden, just about anywhere.

These two considerations forced me to look up the words ‘midst’ and ‘week,’ as they occur in Daniel 9:27, to see if there is something I might have been missing in the translation! It turns out that the Hebrew word for ‘midst’ in Dan. 9:27 (#2677, chetsiy) is not the same as the Hebrew word for ‘midst’ in Gen. 3:3 (#8432, tavek), which can have the connotation of "throughout." Chetsiy simply means "half" or "the middle of two parts." Thus, Dan. 9:27 could only mean the center point of the 70th "week." But it is clear that Yahshua’s ministry began with the baptism by John and ended at the very end of the 490 weeks, on April 3, 33 AD! So, the word ‘midst’ can only be a reference to the middle of the final prophetic week; and the consensus is that it is a reference to the baptism by John.

The Hebrew word for "week" is shabua (Strong’s # 7620), and it simply means "sevened," or a literal week. Recalling our radio discussion of the alternating literal and figurative usages of the word "tree" in Genesis 1 & 2, I concluded that this is what must be going on in Daniel 9:27. In other words, I concluded that, in Dan. 9:27, we have both a figurative and a literal instance of the word ‘week.

Thus, the shabua of Daniel 9:24-27 are prophetic "weeks," consisting of seven years each, but the "one week" of Daniel 9:27 could only be a literal week. Therefore, the "one week" mentioned in Daniel 9:27 is a reference to His final week on earth, for He did not actually confirm the New Covenant until this very last week, a LITERAL WEEK of seven days. At the same time, all of the important events, such as the baptism of Jesus, the miracles and prophecies, the sealing of the New Covenant and the Crucifixion, still take place within the last prophetic "week" of seven years. Having thus eliminated the contradiction in my own mind, let us review the events of the confirming of the covenant with many for one week.

Holy Week: Countdown to the Crucifixion

From the following analysis of the way in which the Passover week was practiced, there is an important detail that most of us have missed.

Passover: [Ex. 12:1-14 & Lev. 23:4,5] On the 10th day of the first month, Nisan, [roughly equivalent to April on our calendar], every family of Israel was to take a lamb, without blemish, and separate it from the flock. On the evening of the 14th the Passover lamb was killed, cooked, and eaten during the night. The blood was applied on the door posts and lintel. This feast celebrates the Exodus from Egypt. But, like all of the feasts, it also has a prophetic meaning. It looked forward to the sacrifice of the "Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world." This was clearly demonstrated by Paul when he wrote, "For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us." [1 Cor. 5:7]. Not only did Jesus fulfill this feast symbolically, but also quite literally. On the 10th of Nisan, Palm Sunday, Jesus rode down the mount of Olives on a colt. He was crucified four days later on Passover.

(Source: http://www.pfrs.org/jewish/hr01.html )

On reading this passage, I realized that the 10th of Nisan was one of the important days of Holy Week, the day on which the "lamb without blemish" is selected. This "selection" was actually accomplished by the anointing ritual performed by Mary Magdalene, the day before He rode into Jerusalem. Yahshua Messiah was SELECTED as the "sacrifice without blemish" on this day. Yahshua would be anointed as heir-apparent to the throne of Israel later that week!

[Note: John Pratt, the Mormon chronicler of the Hebrew and other calendars, has stated that Monday, April 6, 2009, marks the 70th Jubilee from the day that the Israelites entered the Promised Land. This date obviously falls within our Holy Week this year. For this fascinating info, click here: http://www.meridianmagazine.com/sci_rel/060518jubilee.html Incidentally, we have already planned our 9/9/09 (the follow-up to last year’s 8/8/08 event) internet radio marathon for this year; and the theme is Yahweh’s Jubilee! In addition, according to the Solar Calendar, which I have deduced from the Bible, the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jubilees, Passover falls on Friday, April 3 in 2009, which happens to be the same date as the Crucifixion in 33 AD. I believe that these anniversaries demand that we start paying real close attention to the meaning of the Hebrew Feast Days, for they have a prophetic meaning, giving us the pattern of the events that lead up to the Second Coming.]

The Hebrew word for "week" can mean any period of seven days, regardless of what its first day is. It does not necessarily mean from Sabbath to Sabbath, as in the usual 7-day Sabbath rest. That comes from the Hebrew word, Shabbath (#7676). We still have the same general usage of the word week today, as in "I’ll see you in a week." It is not necessarily a reference to the first day of the Monday-Sunday week that most of us follow. Nor is it a reference to the Sunday-Saturday "Sabbath" of the Old Testament.

The shabua of Dan. 9:24-27 is simply a reference to particular sets of seven days, but the "one week" is a very specific week in the life/death of Jesus Christ!

There are many articles that discuss the chronology of Yahshua’s final week. I found this one to be one of the best and clearest. It is entitled, "The Last Week of Christ’s Life," by John Schoenheit.

http://www.truthortradition.com/modules.php?file=article&name=News&sid=613

I will be taking quotes from this article to help document the events of the Holy Week. If you will go back and reread Isaiah 53, referenced above, you will see how many of those prophecies are fulfilled during Holy Week!!! Isaiah 53 is actually a capsule summary of the life of Christ!

Day 7: Announcement Day

Jesus announces that the time has come for His Passion and He collects the Apostles to accompany Him as He travels from Galilee into Judea:

Matthew 19:1:

"And it came to pass that when Jesus had finished these sayings, He parted from Galilee and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; and great multitudes followed Him; and He healed them there."

As the Apostles question Him about the meaning of their following Him, He responds,

"Verily I say unto you, that you which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit on the throne of His glory, YOU ALSO SHALL SIT UPON TWELVE THRONES, judging the twelve tribes of Israel." (Mat. 19:28.)

Thus, He is telling them that these events will have their ultimate effect when the Kingdom has been restored to the Twelve Tribes of Israel. This is clearly an eschatological prophecy, verifying Rev. 21:12. Now, this gets tough:

"And everyone that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my Name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." (Verse 29.)

Christian Identity teaches that we must follow Yahshua, not the Judeo-Christian ministers, who teach the broad path to "salvation." They want to "save the world" by "converting" the unbelievers. Even Paul says, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers." (II Cor. 6:14.) Jesus teaches that the world will HATE the real followers of Jesus Christ! (Psalm 109:5, Matt. 24:9, Mark 13:13, Luke 6:22.) How different this is from the prevailing, modern teaching that all you have to do is believe in His name and you will be saved! The Christian couch potato, since his "faith" lacks substance, has little to offer and risks nothing! He just waits to be "raptured." True Christianity SEPARATES US FROM THIS EVIL WORLD, in order to prepare us for the world to come!! These blind leaders of the blind simply refuse to acknowledge the hundreds of prophecies that tell us that this world order will be judged by a scorching heat, a purification by a literal, moral and spiritual fire. They have utterly abandoned the "fire and brimstone" message in favor of the "God loves everybody," "We are all saved" nonsense of Judeo-Christianity. With all of their efforts focused on "saving" the heathen, they will not even be able to save themselves!!!

Continuing on their way to Jerusalem, Jesus stopped and said to the Twelve:

"Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death. And shall deliver Him to the nations to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify Him: and the third day He shall rise again." (Mat. 20:17-19; Luke 18:31-32.)

The Gospel of John sets up Holy Week with these words:

"And the Jews’ Passover was near at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves. Then sought they for Jesus, and spoke among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think you, that He will not come to the feast?"

(John 11:55-56.)

Jesus, being an Israelite of the Tribe of Judah, the Seed of David (Matt. 1:1), would surely come to the Feast, but there was a problem:

"Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where He were, he should show it, that they might take Him." (Verse 57.)

The ultimate confrontation between the Messiah and the Jews was at hand.

After passing through Jericho, Jesus and the Twelve finally ascend into Jerusalem, where Jesus steered toward the house of Zacchaeus, saying to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at your house." (Luke 19:5.)

Although the account does not say so, it is clear that Jesus meant that He would stay the night at the home of Zacchaeus, for the trip from Jericho was a long and eventful one.

Here is a description of the terrain and travel time required in the days of Jesus:

Although the road between Jerusalem and Jericho may have changed since ancient times, archeologists have helped us understand the landscape of the road at the time of Jesus. The road that joined the two cities was a direct horizontal climb from Jericho. It crossed rugged, rough terrain along side cliffs and embankments. The distance from Jericho to Jerusalem may have been about twelve miles and could have taken eight to ten hours to travel on foot.

(Source: http://www.newmediabible.org/1goodsam/travel/03luke1030/articles/article3roadstravel.htm )

Given the distance and the events depicted, at least half the daylight hours were required just to walk the distance, especially with a mob of people tagging along, with Jesus performing numerous miracles along the way! So, it seems reasonable to conclude that Jesus stayed overnight with Zacchaeus.

Day 6. The Anointing and First Supper.

This is the evening of the First Anointing, "six days before the Passover." (John 12:1.) The anointing of His feet establishes His qualifications as the Lamb of God. This would be the equivalent of Nisan 10, the day on which the sacrifice is selected. After Judas protested that the money for such expensive oil should not be wasted on a trivial ritual, Jesus rebukes him and says,

"Let her alone, against the day of My burying has she kept this." (Verse 7.)

Here is the beginning of the fulfillment of Daniel 9:27, "And He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week." This is the "week" we are here documenting, the only week in which He went 7 days in a row into Jerusalem. This is the week, during which Yahshua confirms, with many, various terms of the Old Covenant, in which our Kinsman Redeemer was promised to us. Jesus is announcing that He is now preparing Himself to perform the promise of redemption.

John adds the comment that the real reason Judas objected to the expenditure was that this money would no longer be available for him to steal!!! (Verse 6.)

[Here, Pastor Schoenheit interjects that this information about Judas explains an apparent contradiction levied by skeptics against the veracity of the Scriptures. As he explains it:

By the way, this helps us explain an apparent contradiction in God’s Word because the Bible in Acts says that Judas bought a field with the reward of iniquity, yet we know that the money that Judas got for selling Christ out he threw down in the Temple and walked away from it. How could he buy a field with the reward of iniquity if the money that he got for selling Christ was thrown down at the Temple, and the Scribes and Pharisees gathered it up and kept it? The answer is in this verse. Judas was constantly stealing stuff from the ministry of Christ for his own

needs and desires.

As the Jewish author, Samuel Roth (Jews Must Live), has explained to us, the motto of the Jewish people is "Always take." Judas was behaving according to the then unwritten Talmudic code, which permits Jews to steal from non-Jews, if they can get away with it!! (Baba Mezia 24a, Baba Kamma 113b.) Moral: Never hire a Jew to be your treasurer! America has already made this mistake, with the Federal Reserve Bank!!!!]

Day 5: Palm Day. Triumphal Entry Into Jerusalem.

Although this is traditionally referred to as "Palm Sunday," this is just a Catholic invention. (The fact is that the Hebrew Israelites did not have named days of the week. I will continue this narrative without regard to named days of the week.) Yahshua rides into Jerusalem on an ass, being proclaimed "King of Israel." Of course, all of this is in fulfillment of various Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah.

The triumphal entry into Jerusalem, from the account in John, was a spontaneous event, precipitated by the news that Jesus would be coming into Jerusalem. (John 12:12.) Jerusalem was already overflowing with people, who had arrived early for the upcoming Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Jesus declares, "The hour is come that the Son of Man should be glorified...Now shall the prince of this world be cast out." (John 12:23-31.) This is the beginning of the end for Satan. Again, I would ask the futurists, shall Satan cast out Satan?

Yahshua knows that this week will be the last of His earthly walk.

Jesus Curses the Fig Tree.

Why would Jesus curse this fig tree? Did He know something about fig trees that we don’t commonly know? Here is a good explanation:

"Now, the facts connected with the fig tree are these. Toward the end of March the leaves begin to appear, and in about a week the foliage coating is complete. Coincident with [this], and sometimes even before, there appears quite a crop of small knobs, not the real figs, but a kind of early forerunner. They grow to the size of green almonds, in which condition they are eaten by peasants and others when hungry. When they come to their own indefinite maturity they drop off. These precursors of the true fig are called taqsh in Palestinian Arabic. Their appearance is a harbinger of the fully formed appearance of the true fig some six weeks later. [This parable is very reminiscent of the wheat and the tares, wherein the tares planted by the "enemy" appear before the wheat is ripe! (Matt. 13) In this parable, the tares are harvested first, bundled and burned. Only after this burning of the tares (Mal. 4:1) will the wheat be harvested. (Mal. 4:2-4.)] So, as Mark [the Apostle] says, the time for figs had not yet come. But if the leaves appear without any taqsh, that is a sign that there will be no figs. Since Jesus found "nothing but leaves" - leaves without any taqsh- he knew that "it was an absolutely hopeless, fruitless fig tree" and said as much. – "The Barren Fig Tree," by W.M. Christie, Church of Scotland.

What does this mean? The barren fig tree symbolizes the Hasmonean dynasty in Judea. Jesus Himself was the last Judahite who could have challenged the Herodians to take back the throne, which had been usurped by Herod, the Edomite, when he assassinated John Hyrcanus. The cursing of the fig tree can only mean the end of the Hasmonean dynasty of Judah, and by extension, the Herodian dynasty of Edomites, which expired in 70 AD, along with the Temple!!!! It’s the end for Judah in Judea. (We in Identity know that the House of David had already been transplanted into Europe, via the migrations of the Twelve Tribes, as all of the Anglo-Saxon dynasties are of the House of David. {II Sam. 7:13 and many other verses.})

After cursing the barren fig tree, Jesus enters the Temple grounds; but it is late, so He and His companions head back to Bethany.

Day 4. Yahshua Drives the Moneychangers Out of the Temple Area.

12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Either this is the tree that was cursed the previous day, or, this is a second fig tree. Either way, we are given a second witness to the prophetic dissolution of the barren fig tree.

 15And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

This is hurting the Jews where it hurts them the worst: in the pocketbook! Not only did these Jews charge a fee for changing currencies, they also made a profit from selling doves for sacrifices! No doubt, they also loaned money to those who did not have the funds to pay for their sacrifices. Depriving Jews of money is like depriving Satan of lies!!! You can imagine the fierce hatred that was brewing inside the minds of the Pharisees.

16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. [Presaging the end of ritual sacrifices!]

17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Here, Jesus is confirming the Old Covenant The Law must be obeyed! The earthly Temple is the symbol of God’s Law, but the Temple is being defiled by these moneychangers. How dare they turn the House of Yahweh into a house of merchandise!

18And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

Jesus is laying down the Law; and it does not put the priesthood in a good light! The scribes and Pharisees had finally had enough of this Jesus character! Jesus was bad for business!!! Oy vey!

Matthew 21 gives us more details about what happened that day:

"The blind and lame came to Him at the Temple, and He healed them." (Matt. 21:14.)

[Here, Pastor Schoenheit makes another great observation:

Boy, that is really tender. That is really wonderful. Do you think that Jesus Christ knows that it is the last week of his life? You bet he does. Look how Jesus Christ is outward focused. He is other people focused. He knows that it is the last week of his life; yet he is not sitting in a room somewhere depressed. He is so focused on fulfilling his mission as the Passover Lamb, helping others, being the Messiah, being there for other people who needed him. This is so much to be our example. I cannot imagine the pressure that he was under these last days, and yet look how he cleans out the temple. He is not so set back by his confrontation with the priests and the leaders there that he cannot go right into ministering and helping others. He heals the people that day that came to him…He cleanses the temple in Mark, Matthew, and in Luke. In John, no record is there of Jesus cleansing the temple. In Mark, you can track the time to the next day.]

Continuing with Mark:

19And when even was come, he went out of the city.

Day 3. The Second Anointing.

Mark 11:20: And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

More confirmation that the Hasmonean Dynasty has dried up. The Edomites have spoiled it, corrupted it. It will yield no more Israelite fruit.

After another trip to the Temple, Yahshua and His companions go to the Mount of Olives, where He teaches and preaches.

Matthew 26:1-2: When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, ‘As you know, the Passover is two days away, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.’

Verses 3-16 give us the details of the rest of this day.

The same events are described by Mark, in Chapter 14:

1After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread [This statement is telling us that the Passover is yet two days away.]: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. [Note: Nowhere do the Scriptures say that the Romans have any intention of putting Jesus to death! It is always the Jewish scribes and Pharisees who are plotting against the Messiah. The Jews always blame others for their own crimes. The good-hearted and gullible Christians never call their bluff. They don’t want to be perceived as "judgmental"!]

2But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people. [The Jews always maintain their posture of piety in public, especially if they fear the people!!! The snake slithers out of sight until it finds another opportunity to strike.]

3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

As in II Kings, 9:6, the kings of Israel were anointed on the head. But Jesus very humbly refers to it only as another pre-burial anointing in Verse 8. This time, there will only be a crown of thorns. The diadem will have to wait. No one seems to notice that He is repeatedly announcing His own death!

4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

5For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

Apparently there were others there who had heard Judas complain at the first anointing! Not being thieves, like Judas, they were probably sincere in their complaint.

6And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

7For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

9Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

This second expenditure for anointing oil was too much for Judas! We can read his mind: "Twice now this Jesus character has deprived me of a great opportunity to steal. That’s it! I’m done with him."

10And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

11And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Day 2: The Last Supper

12And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

There appears to be another contradiction here. If this is the day of Passover, why isn’t Jesus being crucified on this day? John Pratt asserts, in several of his calendar studies, that the Essenes (who were True Judahites, according to Josephus) practiced an exclusively solar calendar. But the Jews, who are Canaanites just recently "converted" to the Mosaic traditions, came from a Babylonian, moon-worshipping tradition and practiced a luni-solar calendar. Many scholars have pointed out that there were at least two different calendars in use at this time. If Jesus and the Apostles are practicing a different calendar from the Jews, this would explain the disparity. This would also explain John’s strange characterization of the feast days as being those of "the Jews’" – with an apostrophe, as if these feast days belong to the Jews and not to the Israelites of Judea. (John 2:13, 7:2, 11:55, 19:42.) He does not refer to it as "our" (Israel’s) Passover. It is "their" (the Jews’) Passover.

It is also possible that, due to the sheer volume of slaughtered animals required for the city of Jerusalem, the Passover meat was already available on the day before. Be that as it may, Day 2 is not the day on which Yahshua is crucified. It is the day on which Jesus and the Apostles have their Last Supper.

13And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

14And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

15And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

16And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

17And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.

18And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

19And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

20And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

21The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

Here, Judas represents the entire nation of the Edomites and Canaanites, whose seedline is destined for destruction at the Second Coming. (Obadiah and Zech 14:21.) Collectively, the Jewish people are still betraying Jesus, by denying that He is the Promised One. The Judeo-Christian "churches" make excuses for the Jews, while Messiah spares no condemnation of them! The Bible is very clear on this subject, but the Judeo-Christian churches teach confusion. Whether they realize it or not, they are teaching the leaven of the Pharisees. This is why we celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, to remind ourselves that we should not be partaking of this leaven. Jewish lies have infected the whole lump of "Christian" doctrine. "Beware the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy." (Luke 12:1.)

22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

Here, Jesus declares His sacrifice for His People, Israel. He does not say that He is dying for the sins of the whole world, as so many false teachers assert!!! The purpose for which Yahshua was baptized and the culmination of His ministry is now about to be fulfilled: "And He shall confirm the Covenant with MANY for one week." (Daniel 9:27.)

This is where Yahshua Messiah seals the New Covenant!!!!! It is declared by Him, just before the climax of His ministry! For True Israel, the sacrifices and oblations will cease, but it will take some time, as the ministry of Paul is witness to, for the Judahites of Judea to learn to accept the New Covenant!! The Jews, on the other hand, will NEVER accept the New Covenant, because they are the children of the devil, and the lusts of their father will they do! (John 8:44.) This is why Yahweh sent General Titus to eliminate their rituals and oblations by force!

Is there any doubt that the futurists are the ones who are working for the anti-Christ? Woe be to the Jews if they try to build the "third temple."

Continuing with the Last Supper, in John 14, Yahshua says to the Apostles: "A NEW COMMAND I give you: LOVE ONE ANOTHER."

This was prophesied at Hosea 14:4; and it is also Jeremiah 31:31-37 COMMANDED!!!! It will be signed, sealed and delivered on the Cross!!!

Here, it is appropriate to quote the Jeemiah again, because it so important:

31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD,. I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

If these words don’t bring tears to your eyes, you are a machine - or you simply don’t comprehend!!! This is Yahweh’s guarantee to YOU, True Israel, that the New Covenant will find it’s home in YOUR TEMPLE!! But you still have to become aware of it in order to claim it as your reward. You have to be capable of understanding what is at stake! As an heir to the New Covenant, you have to put in your claim. It is not automatic, as the parable of wise and foolish virgins clearly proves!!!! The blind fools of Judeo-Christianity pervert the words "house of Israel" and "house of Judah" into "spiritual Israel"! The Bible says nothing of the kind!!!

These Covenants were made with flesh and blood Israelites; and nowhere does the Bible expand or defer this inheritance to some fictitious "spiritual Israel."

For a little while yet, Satan is still trying to prevent you from claiming your inheritance!

25Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

26And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

27And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. (Zech. 13:7.)

28But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

So, the two-part prophecy of Daniel 9:27 must be understood in this way: The baptism occurred at the middle of the last prophetic "week." "And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease."!!! We know that this is the object of both Daniel 9:27 and Jer. 31. But this process took 3 and a half years; and it culminated in the Last Supper and the Crucifixion.

Here is how Jesus summarizes this period of time:

"The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than for one tittle of the law to fail." (Luke 16:16-17.)

So, the baptism of John is the turning point in the middle of the last prophetic week. But Jesus clearly states that the law will NOT be abolished. Rather, it will be written in our Israelite hearts.

The Last Supper is the end of the Old Covenant (ritual sacrifice) and the beginning of the New (as per Jer. 31:31-37, the Christian Dispensation). Of course, this change in our hearts does not happen instantaneously. The Christian Judahites are yet to be scattered (Verse 27), and the Gospel is yet to be preached to the Dispersion, who are just now hearing rumors of a possible Messiah walking the shores of the Sea of Galilee! A lot of other Old Testament prophecies must yet be fulfilled; and the Book of Revelation hasn’t even been written yet!!!

That night, Messiah goes to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. For the first time, Yahshua shows signs of doubt:

"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." (Luke 22:42.

Are these words spoken in an attitude of fear? Though He is the Son of God, He has never experienced death. With His time now fast approaching, it is something He can no longer put out of His mind. The humanness of Jesus Christ is now fully evident. He must now be feeling as anyone else who has ever had to prepare to face his own execution! Wowzer!

We all know what happened that night in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was arrested and taken into custody and randomly beaten. During the night, he is taken first to the home of Annas, and then to Caiaphas, the reigning High Priest. The account in Matthew 26 is quite vivid. This interrogation went on all night, for the cock crowed while Peter was denying….

Day 1. The Day Trial and Crucifixion

Luke 22:66: "At daybreak, the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them."

Then he is taken before Pilate, who sends him to Herod Antipas, who sends him back to Pilate. This is one hot potato! At noon, He is still being interrogated by Pilate. Pilate attempts to persuade the crowd to accept Barabbas in His place. Hmmm. Just a few days before, the crowd was throwing laurels at His feet. Today, they are an angry mob? How did this change come about? Easy! The Jews still do it today! They assembled a mob by paying a bunch of ruffians to gather and jeer. Today, they arrange such "demonstrations" for the TV cameras of the networks they own, thus determining for us what the "news" is!!!.

Pilate washes his hands of the whole affair (Matt. 27:24) and declares, "I am innocent of the blood of THIS JUST PERSON." Pilate has just declared Jesus to be a Just Person. Yet, the Jews and their spokesvipers keep insisting that Pilate and the Romans crucified Christ!!!

I will let Matthew tell the details of this day:

Matthew 27

1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

4Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

5And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

6And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

8Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

 9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

10And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

11And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

12And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

13Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

15Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

27Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

31And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

32And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

33And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

34They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

 36And sitting down they watched him there;

37And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

38Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

39And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

40And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

44The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

 51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

55And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

Joseph of Arimathea Claims the Body

57When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

58He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

59And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

60And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

61And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

Quite an eventful day!! Quite an eventful week!!

Conclusion.

By his self-sacrifice, Jesus instituted the New Covenant, one feature of which was the abolition of animal sacrifice for the remission of sins, but not until AFTER He offered Himself as the last blood sacrifice. Isa. 53, Dan. 9 and Jer. 31 clearly establish this prophetic fact; and Yahshua fulfilled these prophecies in Himself. But the rabbis refused to stop this practice. For this reason Jesus had prophesied Jerusalem’s doom. "Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." – Mark 13:2. Thirty-seven years later, this prophecy was fulfilled to the letter as the army of Titus quite literally left no stone standing in its original place.

Besides being a ransom for Israel, Jesus came to put an end to the animal sacrifices and other priestly rituals; and they were not yet capable of replacing legalism with brotherly love. The Old Testament tells us that God did not want to institute the animal sacrifice provision, but He did so because the Israelites were too uncivilized or too rebellious to learn the law of self-sacrifice. "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Saith Yahweh: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats." – Isa. 1:11. It is only out of compassion for our state of ignorance that God instituted these sacrifices for an uncomprehending people.

It was because of the continuation of these abominations by the scribes and Pharisees that Jerusalem would be again destroyed. Considering the fact that so many Messianic prophecies were fulfilled in Jesus, it is rather incredible that the Jews reject Him. But we in Identity understand that the Jews are not the Israel of the Bible. Though they fooled the rest of the world, they have not fooled us; and we will not rest until their charade is exposed.

Bob Pickle puts it this way:

If we cannot find good beginning and ending dates for the first 69 weeks when placing the 70th week in the future, we had better keep all 70 weeks together as one unit.

This means that the prince who confirms the covenant in Daniel 9:27 will have to be Christ instead of a future antichrist. This used to be the predominant view anyway.

What follows from this is that Christ's causing the sacrifices to cease would need to be identified with His sacrifice at the cross ultimately bringing an end to the Jewish sacrificial system.

Despite all of the documentary fulfillments of the Messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus Christ, it is because the Jews still hate Christ today that they reject these prophecies.

From The Encyclopedia of Prophecy, by Omar V. Garrison:

Daniel’s prophetic dreams, which occur at different times, foretell important events to come relative to the rulers of the world, the advent and death of the Messiah, the restoration of the Jews [sic, Judahites – Eli] to their homeland and the Resurrection at ‘the end of days’.

In both language and content, the apocalypse of Daniel anticipates the revelations of St. John, to which it is linked by many Christian expositors, particularly those of the Millenarian school.

Josephus, the renowned historian of the first century AD, refers to Daniel as one of the greatest prophets, and asserts that he not only gave generalized predictions of future events, but pinpointed the exact time of their occurrence.

It was this latter fact – the striking coincidence of Daniel’s forecasts and their fulfillment – that led Porphyry, a third-century adversary of Christianity, to allege that they must have been written after the happenings which they describe had already taken place.

He further affirmed that Daniel was not the true author of the prophecies, but that they must have been written by some person who lived in Judea in the time of Antiochus Epiphanes.

On the other hand, Alexander the Great was reportedly so impressed by Daniel’s prophecies [Alexander being the "third beast" and the "kingdom of brass" of Daniel’s apocalypse] that he spared the city of Jerusalem on his eastward march!!! And, if Alexander had gained awareness of these prophecies in the fourth century BC, Porphyry and the other critics are dead wrong!!!

Here is one account of Alexander’s visit to Jerusalem.

Although Alexander the Great conquered Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and surrounding countries, modern historians have little to say of him visiting the Holy Land. Yet ancient history says that he had a most remarkable encounter there, not only visiting the temple in Jerusalem but also making a sacrifice to the God of Israel.

Most modern historians dismiss the story, but one wonders just why they do. Could it be they would have to admit there is a God of history who controls the course of nations?

The noted first-century historian Josephus records the king's visit to Jerusalem and a meeting between Alexander and the high priest, Jaddua.

In 332 B.C. Alexander besieged and defeated the coastal cities of Tyre and Gaza in his march toward Egypt. During this campaign he turned toward Jerusalem. Alexander had already demanded men and supplies from the Judeans, who were under the rule of Alexander's mortal enemy, the Persian king Darius. The high priest hesitated, saying that while Darius lived they would honor their pledge. Alexander was angry and began a move on the city.

Well aware of the danger, Jaddua asked the people to pray to God for His mercy and protection. Then, says Josephus, Jaddua had a dream as to how to entreat the Macedonian king. He and the other priests dressed in their priestly robes and, accompanied by others dressed in white garments, formed a procession that went out of the city to a carefully chosen place to meet the king.

Alexander then did the unexpected. Alone, he approached the high priest and members of the procession and greeted them.

Then, the priests actually read the Daniel scroll to Alexander; and he realized that the prophecy about the "kingdom of brass" concerned himself!!! Needles to say, he was mightily impressed! You can read the rest of the account here: http://www.gnmagazine.org/issues/gn56/alexander_reads.htm

Continuing with Mr. Garrison:

A number of liberal exegetes and historians of time have likewise tried to show that the work is of a later date (perhaps as late as the second century BC), thus discrediting its prophetic validity.

The Jewish canon, which was finalized in AD 90, does not place Daniel among those books forming part of the Hebrew Law or the Prophets, but in the division known as the Hagiographa.

Some commentators have attributed this downgrading, so to speak, of Daniel as a prophet to the fact that early Christians, including both Jesus and his disciples, pointed to his predictions as presaging Christ as the Messiah. [Indeed! – Eli.]

The first-century sect of Qumran, sometimes identified as the Essenes, evidently esteemed the book of Daniel. One of the Dead Sea Scrolls was found to be the earliest known copy…

We can see from the foregoing that, since Daniel’s detractors do not have a leg to stand on, they howl and sneer from their Pharisaic wheelchairs! The reality is that the Book of Daniel is one of the most profound books of prophecy ever conceived, second only to the Apocalypse of John. The prophecies of the Bible are irrefutably accurate, once properly understood. The Apostle Peter tells us that we have the "sure word of prophecy " (II Peter 1:19): and the Apostles were personal witnesses to many Old Testament fulfillments. But the angel Gabriel told Daniel that these prophecies would not be fully understood UNTIL THE END TIMES:

"But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased." (Dan. 12:4.)

Knowledge we have plenty of, but wisdom has escaped most of us. Given such facts, we can say, without fear of disproof, that the Bible is true and its detractors are fools and liars. (Romans 3:4.) Also, the Dispensationalists and futurists, who torture Daniel 9:24-27 with their mystical and nonsensical interpretations, must apologize for introducing concepts that are simply not part of the pericope (the passage under consideration). Thus, we can agree wholeheartedly with Adam Clarke, who said of Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy,

"The whole of this prophecy from the times and corresponding events has been fulfilled to the very letter."

Amen.
